In a previous post, I noted that Hawaii has elected not to conform its estate tax exemption limits to match the new higher federal limits established under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. For its part, Massachusetts - the state in which we have the second most clients - imposes one of the most onerous estate tax schedules in the nation.
